The PCLinuxOS distribution is written from bottom to top with the new Linux user in mind. It is one of the Linux versions which can be operated very easily just like Windows, and it includes all the essential software for everyday people. Additional applications can easily be installed after installation.

PCLinuxOS is provided as a single installable "Live CD". This lets you try it without making any changes to your computer's hard drive. If you like it, you can install it to your hard drive.

PCLinuxOS is complete and friendly, and for power users, PCLinuxOS is extremely easy to customize. 

PCLinuxOS MiniMe is a minimal live CD (around 300MB) that is bootable, plus it can be installed, which boots to a very basic KDE desktop.  More details can be found on the PCLinuxOS website.
