Debian
Linux
The Debian Project is an association of individuals who have made common cause to create a free operating system. This operating system is called Debian GNU/Linux, or simply Debian for short.
Debian Linux is a favoured choice of discerning system admins, particularly for servers. It does not have the user friendly install routines of other mainstream distributions like SUSE, Red
Hat, Fedora and Ubuntu, so it is not recommended for users who are new to Linux.
More details are available at the Debian website.
The
versions we have available are supplied on a single CD which provides
a standard installation containing all of the popular applications you
would expect. Additional applications can be downloaded and added
once installed.
